NestMaster - Automatic True Shape Nesting Software
NestMaster true-shape nesting is designed to nest sheet metal parts, maximize material utilization, increase productivity, and decrease turnaround time. The program reads a list of programmed parts, analyzes the real geometry of each part, and nests them together on blank material stock. NestMaster can read in a comma-delimited ASCII file to generate a list of parts to nest. This file can be created by an MRP/ERP system or any other software. NestMaster has been specifically designed to run your punch machines, cutting machines, or combination machines.
NestMaster Features
- The minimum remnant size of the last sheet of a nest can be specified and cut off automatically; or the minimum sheet utilization can be specified. Parts on the last sheet which do not meet the minimum utilization are saved until other parts of the same material and thickness can be added.
- Parts of different material types and thickness can be listed together for nesting (interactively or from an MRP/ERP system) and NestMaster will sort them into separate PQ (Part Queues) for nesting.
- Parts can have low, normal, or high priority. Parts with high priority are nested first. Parts can also be designated as filler parts. These parts will be used as filler parts to enhance material utilization and never be placed on a sheet by themselves.
- Parts with the same order number can be nested together on the same sheet.
- Various blanks for different sizes can be listed for each material type and thickness. NestMaster will keep track of the inventory.
- Nests can be viewed and accepted manually or automatically. Plot files can be automatically created for accepted nests and plotted later.
- NestMaster can track material grain restrictions as well as part grain restriction. Restricted parts will be checked for proper placement on the sheet.
