Trumpf L1005
The Trumpf LASERCELL 1005, commonly known as the TLC 1005, is a CNC laser cutting center for high volume cutting and welding. This universal single machine can handle flat sheets of metal including profiles and tubing.
This laser machine has excellent flying optics, which simply means the processing optics move over the stationary table and workpiece. The Trumpf laser is handled well with Merry Mechanization’s SMP sheet metal software. The CO2 laser that is equipped on this cutting machine is from the Trumpf TLF series and has a power spectrum that goes between 2KW and 12KW.
The TLC 1005 from Trumpf has its workspace divided by a lift partition panel in the X direction into two stations, a right and a left. This allows an operator to load/unload in one station, while the other station can be actively lasering. Production efficiency is increased with this feature.
The maximum axis speeds for X and Y are the same at 50m per minute, while the Z axis lowers to 30m per minute. The working area for the X axis ranges from as little as 1250mm to 4000mm, the Y axis stays the same at 1500mm.
This powerful Trumpf machine has a CNC Control with a Siemens SINUMERIK 840D and includes a 500MB hard disk for storing NC code. The CAD/CAM software, SMP, can create efficient NC code and operation sheets keeping the laser cutting machine operating seamlessly.
